Amtrak Vermonter Resumes Following Derailment - TRAINS Magazine

NEW YORK — Amtrak’s Vermonter is operating as normal today, two days after a minor derailment at Sharon, Vt., fouled the route. Nobody was injured when Sunday’s northbound Vermonter derailed two wheels of one car.

Buses substituted for trains yesterday north of Springfield, Mass. The derailment occurred on New England Central rails, and is currently under investigation. The train connects New York with St. Albans, Vt.
