A new diner has opened in the 1887 Boston & Albany station at 70 Union Street in Newton Center MA. Their website has a short video showing the building before they were done with the rehab, but they also show some drawings of the decor that was planned.  Thankfully, it appears they chose a late 1800's style.  The tracks now carry the MBTA's Green Line.

CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) – Two railroad workers were in a single-car locomotive that derailed in Concord, New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Concord fire officials said the locomotive, which belongs to the New England Southern Railroad, overturned off an embankment near Commercial Street at around 11:30.

One person suffered possible head and leg injuries and was transported to Concord Hospital. The other person was unharmed.

A diesel fuel leak was also reported, but officials said the leak is under control.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but officials noted there was a lot of snow on the tracks.
Officials with Environmental Services, the Concord Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation Rail Division are on the scene.

Lots of Snow = Plow Trains

B&M Plow at E. Deerfield 5/25/08
So far this year New England has seen a lot of snow.  And for the first time since I started railfanning, there have been quite a few plow trains around.  And my rotten luck has meant that I have missed all of them.
To my knowledge, there has been at least one MBTA plow train with one diesel and two plows, a Pan Am plow train out of Nashua NH, and the East Deerfield plow has come east long the Fitchburg.  Today, that same plow is heading up into Maine (reportedly with heavy police presence).

And I have managed to miss every one of them.

Perhaps you have had better luck!
